Department is having state of art laboratory for UG. (B.Tech.),
P.G. and having research facilities. In the department,
major instruments like Ph. Meter, Water distillation unit,
Electronic weighing machine, Hot water bath, Ostwald viscometers,
Latest burettes (easy to operate) and good quality of chemicals
are available.
Department provides experimental, learning principles and
application based research facilities to B.Tech (U.G) students
to carryout their experimental work as prescribed by UPTU.
It includes estimation of hardness of water, chloride, alkalinity,
percentage of available chlorine, Viscosity and functional
group & element detection etc. Engineering Chemistry
provides application based knowledge to Undergraduate, Post
Graduate & research scholars which promotes them to
learn and earn with using chemistry as a basis of life.
It also promotes students to use eco friendly chemicals
in their experiments which can reduce harmful effects on
environment.
Apart from above, a research Project entitled “Device
for Defluoridation of drinking water and apparatus thereof”
in the Department of Chemistry of this Institute- on the
under young scientist scheme in the year 2009 has been sanctioned
by U.P. Council of Science and Technology (UPCST) of Department
of Science and Technology , Govt. of India.
